Almost at the final stretch of this challenge, which at first seemed almost impossible, now I don’t want it to end. In fact, I want to continue this practice so that it becomes a habit.
A journey of self-discovery and exploration through the body language of sensations and pleasure. This journey is closely linked to the healing process that has been taking place over the last five years. It asks for presence, attention, slowing down, dedication, compassion, and connection with all parts of my being: body, mind, spirit, heart, animal, child…
Along this path, I learned several important things: that my libido, which seemed dormant in the last few months, is present if I give it space for this practice. That it is possible to access pleasure on days when I feel great, on complicated days, or neutral days. If you give space to pleasure, it is there. That sometimes the simplest practice turns out to be an incredible and pleasurable experience. Some practices can be fluid and with intention, while others reveal themselves little by little, moment by moment.
I also encountered several challenges along the way, such as finding time, space, desire with this commitment I made to myself; how to share this exploration with Arantxa; how to find the words for each experience…
Sexuality and spirituality go hand in hand (at least for me) and both gain the importance I give them, each step forward reveals infinite possibilities and it always seems to be the first.
I feel very curious to continue exploring this path, with an open heart, eyes of a child, hands of a wise woman, body of a wild woman, with a focused mind and with the intuition and devotion of the Goddess.
